Light signaling of obstacles to air navigation are critical
applications and require reliable, fail-safe equipments so that they can
prevent and alert of danger to the aircraft pilot. The equipment must
meet the specifications of the Aeronautics, ANAC, ICAO, CAA and FAA
standards.
Sunlab Power® Air Obstacle Beacons are manufactured with high quality
materials and technology, to allow an effective result.
The LED emitter, reduces
the maintenance, replacement and energy cost.
Application:
Obstruction light can be installed to any high
structure, as well as towers, constructions, aerial cables and some
other objects whose can be less visible to the pilot at short distance,
such as telecom and transmission towers, elevated water tanks, lighthouses, cranes, chimneys and wind turbines. Shorter
structures that are located close to airports also require obstacles lights.
The
presence of obstacles which need to be lightened must be indicated by lights of low, medium, and high intensity or a combination of such
lights.
They are usually arranged in clusters around the structure at specific heights. Often there will be one set at the top
and then one or more sets equally spaced by the frame, in position to define the general shape of the object.
Installing beacon groups may require
synchronized flashes. Sunlab Power® supplies the entire system,
including photovoltaic generators, UPS and AC/DC converters, with fault
protection and supervision.
Characteristics:
SunLab
Power® AOB models are compliant to ICAO types, design and
performance, and has the advantages:
>
Aluminum
body: compact and light without reducing the functionality.
>
Low power
consumption. Customizable for AC and DC power input.
>
Electronic
circuit includes fail safe, over power and surge protections.
>
Photo
sensor incorporated for switch on and off automatically.
> Fresnel lens in
Makrolon®:
corrosion, U.V. and I.R. resistant.
>
Does not need ballast as
discharge lamps.
> Flex powered: input AC or
DC, solar, grid power or hybrid available.
|
|
 |
Advantages:
> Low maintenance
or replacements
>
Minimal loss of luminous flux
>
High resistance to temperature changes, snow, vibrations.
>
Flashes
don't reduces the life of LED.
